Hi All,

With a budget of £450, I'm looking for a 32" - 34" flat or curved gaming monitor. I'm not a hardcore gaming addict by any stretch of the imagination, but when I do play I want it to look as good as it can get. I'm confused by the VA / IPS debate, motion blur, ghosting, etc. and just want some real world advice from people who actually game with the things. I'm also not interested in fancy RGB lighting on the panel either.

What would you guys recommend?

Cheers
Daz

My own personal choice would be the Dell S3422DWG. It's a curved gaming monitor, UW screen, 144Hz, 34".

There is no such thing as a perfect monitor. Even if you pay three times that amount. Your best bet is to just go with one that has good reviews and is within your budget. That particular monitor is a really good one and is on sale on the Dell website right now for £390, which is a bargain. It used to be £460. You may find codes on the forum to get that price down even more.

thanks. I looked at the Dell monitor a few days ago but the reviews mentioned the issue when using them with an Nvidia GPU and G-Sync below 60 fps which put me off.

Oh that makes it very tricky. Not many Freesync monitors go very far below 60Hz. Is this a priority? I mean I have the same thing with my Freesync but I just have a graphics card that always remains firmly above 60Hz. There is a freesync chart somewhere on the internet, maybe someone here knows where it is.
