Hello,

I just got a deal on corsair hx750w and would like to know what gfx's I can throw at it including sli set up.

At first I am considering 460gtx then add 2nd one.

Eventually progressing to 570's and 580's in sli.

Please include only nvidia set ups. Thanks

It can handle any single Nvidia GFX setup including the GTX590 (dual GPU)

Or SLI GTX570 is fine, GTX580/480 in SLI is too much and need 850w+

Or the new 680 being released this week looks to be low power consumption and so two of those shouldn't be an issue:)

Oh rly?

and it will be operating outside of its efficiency.

a 990X at 5GHz and a PAIR of overclocked GTX590s at max load draw less than 600W from the wall.

remember this when you are instructing people to go and buy expensive 1Kw units that they don't really need.

:p

No problems with 460 sli on a 750w psu, for 480's id be looking at a quality branded 900-1000w unit, with the spec in sig im drawing 630w at the wall in game, 740w in furmark, 860w with both prime and furmark, not reccomended. Psu is a corsair hx850.

Any multi-GPU setup is junk in terms of reliability.

So you're better off with a single card.

And it'll run whichever single card you want.

I'd guess over 30% of this forum users have multi gpu so it cant be that bad.

But i get your meaning that it adds another component that can go wrong. So best to keep to single gpu.

One day hopefully soon the 580gtx...
