Hey fellas,

I'm sitting on a build right now that I'm planning on putting one of the new Bulldozers in, I wanted updated advice on what Gfx you guys would put in there. I am willing to consider a crossfire or SLI set up. Don't worry about the budget, I won't be paying for the top dollar Gfx card but I'm not worried about forking out a bit of money.

So far the build is this:

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX AMD

Memory: Corsair XMS3 16GB DDR3

Processor: Waiting to buy a Bulldozer but may consider getting a AMD Phenom II in the meantime

Case: HAF X

Cooling: Coolermaster V10

HDs: 1 SSD 2 Hybrids and a 1tb sata 3

I'm aware there are graphics cards coming out and I'm really in two minds about what to do. All I need is a gfx card and processor and then my machine will be complete. I've been waiting on BD for over a month and so I'm considering getting a processor while I wait so I can get my machine up and running and then updating to BD when it launches. However it seems like the Gfx wont be out until Q1 of 2012 and I can't be that long without a PC! But equally I don't want to fork out for graphics cards that won't be able to handle the top end games coming out such as Battlefield.

Advice? I beg of you!

Okay so it seems to be between the ATI Radeon HD 6950 & GeForce GTX 580. But am I right in saying the actual brand of the model I get is relatively unimportant? As in asus vs gigabyte vs sapphire etc.

I can see from your advice that if I go for ATI then I will be xfiring but if I go for GeForce I'll just be using the one card. Not that it matters as the price comes very close in the end anyway. But if I'm spending near £400 is it worth going the extra yard and getting something like this

a good mate of mine has the exact same card

its a really good card mate

djshauny1 is the card your mate has the one I linked at the bottom of that post?

Rubin thank you for that i'll have a look.

So it seems like 2x6950s would be the best option. Unless anyone else has an opinion on it?
