probably help she can't swim again

Yea I want to see Help She Can't Swim, with Test Icicles, but I'm sacrificing seeing that gig to see a girl instead :p

Story of the year are playing at the Carling Academy in Birmingham on the 11th April and the ABC in glasgow on the 18th April. They are the only uk dates on aloud.com.
Will be the first time i've seen them, can't wait. :)

Yea, like Busted style, timed jumping round and stuff. At least that's what the Kerrang review said a while back haha.

I've recently added:

Mogwai 4th April Cambridge
Nine Black Alps 20th Feb Nottingham
Panic! At The Disco 27th April Nottingham

Big Chris? i just got an email update

Nope. Though I'm talking to him about it now, seeing as we're both going :)

The content of an email I recieved tells me to keep schtum, even if it was meant jovially, tis the least I can do.

Tool on the 13th of June. Not a lot of gigs I go to this year will matter much other than that.

I did my best to email everyone who'd posted in the Tool threads lately, sorry I missed you out Sic.

Basically I just didn't want the link getting posted all over the net before Tool fans had a chance to get hold of them. AFAIK they'll go on general release tomorrow or Thursday.

Guess it's alright to say then. They go on general release on Friday I believe at 0900.

I ****ing  you for that email. TOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Oh, and you've got mail!

Hard to tell. I don't know how big the Apollo is, or what percentage of tickets are currently available on the presale. I'd doubt it'll hang about as atm there's only the Glasgow show and the two London gigs for the whole UK.

Probably the same size as the Astoria from an estimate, which is 1600.

Edit:

Woah, maybe not:

Seating capacity: 3632
Standing capacity: 5039

Sound at the Apollo is good. It was very poorly run/managed when I saw A Perfect Circle there however. Hopefully it'll be better this time round. It's the closest venue to me so gigs there are good :p

Sigur Ros at the Manchester Apollo. OMG!

Edit: How bleeing amazing was popplagið? (The encore)

Edit (AGAIN): ****ing amazing best live act I have ever seen. :p

Edit: (againagain)

Setlist was this I think:

takk
glósóli
ný batterí
sæglópur
njósnavélin
gong
andvari
hoppípolla
með blóðnasir
se lest
olsen olsen
svo hjótt
heysátan

popplagið

They played a very similar set and used a very similar setup to the concert in Iceland in 2005, which is exactly what I wanted. It was just absolutely mindblowingly amazingly good and I told the mates I was with to wait until Popplagio (I knew they'd finish with it once I realised they were using the silk screen, and had the brass band), because it would blow them away.

I was right :D

Best.concert.ever.

I would glady have swapped Gong for svefn-g-englar, but it was still absolutely amazing.

Manchester concert had a lot of morons in it though, in particulary one long blond haired eejit who I had to clip around the ear to make him shutup.

Idiots at the Hammersmith gig too :(

Some idiot who was screaming during Glosoli, which completely ruined it.
Tards clapping before the songs have finished, because they obviously don't know the first thing about Sigur Ros, and just bought Takk because they saw it in their local HMV.
Tards clapping DURING THE DRAMATIC PAUSE IN THE DAMN SONG (I think it's the Vlorar one, with the video about the gay boy, can't be bothered to check right now), thus completely spoiling the whole point of the silence in the song.

Grrrrr.....

But still, the gig was absolutely amazing.
