Looks like a good build but for that money id rather get a I7 setup.

lol, I guess we were all noobs at some point. It may be cheaper, but it's newer tech, better value for money, the i7 965 blows the pants off of the qx9770, and the 940 probably matches it. There was a point when the q9550 was on "this week only offer" and was cheaper than a q9450, would you still buy the 9450?

cool are be going for that one then lol

on overclockers UK website it lets u pick ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB GDDR5 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 280 1024MB GDDR3 falt ya had to have 2 the same GPUs?

and what MB should i go for? and ive bin tolled that ATI are better now than Nvidia now is that tru?

Haha they are both good now mate tbh... i had the choice and got the GTX280.

I would get any X58 board that does Xfire and SLI.

i am now thinkin of getin sum thing like this

That looks ok but you have a 4870 X2 and a standard 4870... i would rather get 2 x GTX280's in SLI than 2 x 4870 X2's.

are thay good for SLI cos ive got 2 9800 GX2's at mo and thay don't work that good in SLI

Yeah they are much better in SLI as they are Single core where the 9800GX2's are dual PCB which is Quad SLI. Both companys have issues running more than 2 cores so i would suggest getting the GTX280's.

re

go for the same setup as me mate...it can handle anything on max settings...it dont even break a sweat:)
