Hey guys im struggling on what GPU to upgrade to, i have around £150 to spend and im struggling because of my case size and PSU limitations its a 600w but doesn't have a pci-e 6 pin only 2 molex, ill list specs below i don't really want to upgrade my PSU coz i cant really afford it

Alpine blue 600w psu
Zalman T1 mini case
Intel i5 3570
Asus P8z77-m
8gb corsair ram
Currently running a 1gb HD 6670 ever so slightly O/Ced

I was thinking about a GTX 660 because i cant seem to see a AMD card as good that only takes a single 6pin power supply also i might run a dual monitor setup at some point soon so would the Nvidia GTX 660 3gb be worth going for that little bit extra? I have heard it overclocks well as well. Need to know as in gonna get BF4 the weekend and don't want to be stuck playing it on low res on medium render for ever, thanks in advance

660 Might be your best bet. Bf4 does love vram so 3gb versoin would be good if it fits your budget.

The card is 9.5 inches and likely 2 slot so make sure it can fit.

Are there any med lvl AMD cards that require only 1pcie power point? Also what sort of FPS do you think i could run at ultra and high. And does anyone have any experience of overclocking gtx 660 2+3 gb cards?

The smaller MSI 7850 has one 6 pin power connector and will overclock fairly well. With Mantle it'll suit BF4 much better than a 660.

The new 270 card performs better and uses 1 connector but ocuk doesn't stock them.

The watts on the 12v rail are enough, given its a budget psu but better budget hence limited power attachments, i cant afford another £40-60 on a new one. R9 270x vs gtx 660 performance is ?

+1 for a 660, decent card, overclocks ok. Cant comment on AMD as I've never owned one.

That psu is garbage. A so called 600w psu for £12-15!! That must be a high quality unit!! That thing won't get anywhere near it's claimed 34A (408w) on the 12v rail. If you value your system replace it. If it fails it could take the rest of your components with it.

The psu is the single most important component in a pc and i can't see why people are still skimping on them. A cheap one like yours will be built down to a budget using super cheap internals, are terribly innefficient and will never get near it's stated capacity. As a rough guide you should be looking at £10 per 100w for a quality psu. These reviews are why you don't skimp on the psu:-

Death of a gutless wonder 2
Death of a gutless wonder 3

That psu needs replacing before you put a better graphics card in your pc. You can chance it if you like but don't be surprised when it fails and takes your rig with it.
