wait and see what the 7 series brings. To crossfire/sli you might want a bit more grunt from the old PSU! I'm waiting to see before i decide what to do with my 6950 on my hazro!

PSU is fine for 570 SLi and 6950CF

VRAM will probably come into it at that resolution though.

A single 7900 card will probably perform well at that resolution but we don't know how much the 7950 will be and best guess is that the 7970 is going to be £500.

I'd wait a bit to see real benchmarks of the 7970 and hopefully info on pricing for 7950.

You'd probs get £190 for your 570 and xfire 6950 is £400 but it will have 2gb VRAM.

Tough call tbh but I would keep the 570 for now and lower settings to medium and see what the next 6 weeks brings information-wise.

I've got the Hazro monitor, just upgraded from one GTX 480 to GTX 480 SLI and it's much faster but if I was you I think i'd get two 6950's and crossfire because of the 2GB ram :) Your GTX 570 has like 1280mb right?

2 480 GTXs in SLI here - murders everything I throw at it (and tames BF3 very nicely at ultra, with FSAA and SSAO).

You seriously found it nicely playable in 2560x1440 @ ultra? I really don't like it on mine. High is pretty good... performance at medium is what I really like...

Hi guys, been reading threads on here, but didn't really get a answer

Basically would it be better to wait for the 7 series, sell my 570 and get 2 ATi 69xx or get another 570 to SLI with mine, gonna be getting a Hazro monitor and don't think my single 570 will cut it for BF3 at high settings

Current card http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-112-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010

PSU is Corsair HX750w

Actually, I think your GTX 570 will be fine for high at that res.

High is actually very playable for me on single 6950 toxic. Generally hung on the 40 to 50 range I think (has been a while), but I remember it being very playable, and actually smoother than xfire at 60 fps :)

Really? Why not? What is your average FPS?

I recently installed the FPS Limiter Plugin for MSI Afterburner (thread around here has some info on that), and set Max FPS to 60 and I am arguably having a better experience than ever.

if your just looking for high GFX with x2 AA thats what iam usuing and getting a good 80-90 fps

and thats with 1.2gb vram but on 3 heavly overclocked 470's

any setting higher than that AKA ultra takes it well over the vram limit @2560x1440 and fram rate plummets

To quote myself :D
My findings with photo proof.
Make what you like of it.
EVGA GTX580 classified 3GB

1GPU @ 2560 x 1440
All settings on ultra
1688mb max memory used
32FPS lowest
40-45FPS normal

Kharg Island with 63/64 slots

Cheers guys, guess I'll stick with the 570 for now till either the 7 series comes out or I get a deal on another 570/ 2 69xx cards :)
