i'm looking for a budget graphics card to play Crysis on full settings. at the moment i've got the nvidia 7650GS 512mb, for which plays under medium settings and still laggs i remember it played any game on full settings once i suppose time flys LOL.. my budget is 120 pounds. anyone recommend a graphics card they played with Crysis with all the iceing on top without lagg :) sorry for the stupid question maybe i might need to upgrade some of my hardware ?

my specs are AMD +4600 x2 basicly it's a fugitsu siemens scaleo H
2 GIG RAM DDR 667
320 GIG s-ata2
400 watt power supply
windows vista 32bit premium

For around that price you could get a 9800GTX+ which can run crysis quite well.
But the 4850's are also a good option.

it has to be the 4850 as the previous post says you can get them for sub 110 and in toms hardware it kicks the arse of the 8800 and comes close on some games to newest 300 pound plus cards at normal res

is the cpu really up to it?
It wouldn't get the best out of a modern card like the 4850 but it would still be a giant leap over a 7600 GS (assuming the 7650 is similar performance, which it should be).

In crysis specifically I'm not sure how CPU intensive it is.

Hi, I'm looking for £1000 supermini to beat a ferrari around a track..

Awesome analogy :)

Even tri SLI with 3x GTX 280s would be pushed to run Crysis at absolute max settings.

But the ATi HD4870 and the nVidia GTX 260/280 will all be able to give playable frame rates at a decent level of quality.

Edit: Just saw you said budget, you will never get a "budget" graphics card to run Crysis anywhere near full settings, and hence whilst my above statement remains your best bet is a 8800GTS or the HD4850 but I still wouldn't call these really budget
