Hello,

I'm looking to purchase something over the weekend.

My setup is as follows...

GTX 260 connected via dvi to Hazro24wi and Lg226 screen

I also have another LG 22" screen on the other side of the hazro.

What CHEAP nvidia graphics cards are compatibile with the GTX 260?

I've noticed that there are some new drivers for the GTX 260 now (180 series)

I'm still using (178 series which are also latest for Geforce 8 series) but the new 9 series can use the 180 series/

I really want to do this without graphics card driver problems if you see what I mean.

Motherboard is IP35pro which has a PCIE 4X available which wont be a problem for just windows display.

Can people post some working nvidia setups please?

that is exactly what I was thinking. I'm guessing that if further updates are made for the gtx 260 then there could be issues with the 9400GT ?

It would be fine if the 7600GT was used to drive the 2nd monitor

The 9400GT would be a better bet tho as the 9400GT could also be used for physx

can you explain clearly why that would work?

Would i not need two sets of drivers for the graphics card?

I've have a triple screen set-up on my main system, I use a GTX260 to power my main screen and an ati x600 to power my other two screens, it wasn't easy though, the drivers have to be installed in a certain order and sometimes when a new driver comes out it causes conflicts, triple screen set-ups are a pain in the ass tbh.

No the same set of drivers would work with both cards, both should be listed in device manager and in display properties.

Never used triple screen tho so im not sure how you'd proceed from there

Why did u choose to mix ati and nvidia?

Is that not asking for trouble?

Too much hassle is being made of this, just use two cards that use the same driver, and it instantly works, theres not even any configuration, just plug the second card in then plug in the third monitor!

Ok then,

I will test out the 9400GT and report back on it.
