What Graphics Card for P5VDC-MX

I have the ASUS P5VDC-MX and the Radeon 9800 Pro on it is bust. It has a PCI Express x1 slot on it. Yet it doesn't look like it would accept the new grafix cards as the slot looks really small. Is PCI - E x1 different to the X 8 and x 16?

If so what card is recommended?

Ok no reply to that, perhaps this is easier..

Which is the better card

HIS ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ3 V2 Turbo 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (AGP) -

256 ram but 620 MHz

or

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP)

512 ram but 580MHz.

I would go with the 512mb x1950 - just because 256mb is getting to be too little these days with the kind of textures in use by the latest games ... 512mb is really the minimum you would want for any res above 1680 x 1050 :)

You could maybe get away with just 256mb on 1280 x 1024 - although games such as crysis would still need to be played on lower settings ...

On the first question: it won't accept PCI-Express graphics cards no. You could work with an 8X slot but a 1X slot will be physically and electrically (in the sense that bandwidth would kill the FPS) impossible to use with a regular 16X video card. You are stuck with AGP.

Pass on the second.
