what graphics card needed for 720p 1280 x 720

i just wanted to know before i brought a gtx 560ti if i could get away with buying a worse graphics card than that due to only playing on 720p for games like battlefield 3 mw3 and deus ex and the rest of the new games i still wont to play on max settings

If you are going to compromise for a lower end card then you are also compromising on the ability to use the settings contained in the options for quality.

If you want your PC to look like it's running on console like graphics ( crappy ) then that's a good way to achieve it.

At that res a 560 will smash most games out there, you can turn up all your textures to the highest and it will still look great , better that consoles I would guess.
If you want to go for a cheaper card something like this 6850 should do you fine. I have a 6850, I play at 1600x1200 most of that time with high textures and normally 4XAA
BFBC2 is around 40-50 fps
Dead Island 30-40 fps
so i think at that res then that card would be totally fine and you could always add another in CF

For that res, something like a 6670 would be fast enough for majority of the games...however if you want to max out in demanding games with high frame rate, it'd be best to play it same and goes for something like a GTX460 768MB.

Another thing to consider is whether or not your CPU is fast enough to hold the frame rate at 40fps or above.
