What graphics card should I get for gaming and 3D work?

Hey, just wanted to say that I need some help in choosing a graphics card(s) that will destroy any game that I throw at it and can be used in 3D work with Video rendering. I don't mind what make, has to be under £600 if possible, don't mind if SLI or CrossFire.

Currently have these products:
MSI Z68-GD65-G3 Motherboard
Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD
4x4 HyperX Kingston 1600MHz

Thinking of getting these products:
Intel i7 2700k
Coolermaster HAF 932
Corsair TX850 (may need more power for SLI or Crossfire?)
Western Digital Cavair Black 1TB 6GB/s 7200rpm

Is there anything that you would recommend that suits my needs and would you change anything about the products i am thinking of buying?

im a bit of a ati fanboi but still think nvidia has the edge for 3d, i would proberly start off with a gtx580 and see how things go
