What Graphics Card should I get?!!

Hi Guys,
I thought that I had my rig all sorted out, but have been having second thoughts about my gpu.
I had originally intended to get a Sapphire R9 290 Tri X OC, but I though that it was quite expensive and is it really necessary to play Ultra at 1080p.
Would a R9 280X Toxic Edition be good enough?
Should I consider Nvidia instead?
I would like the graphics card to cost less than £300.

Would it be worth getting a 280X Toxic now and going crossfire later or just going for a 290?

Definitely go with one of the aftermarket-cooler R9 290s for those prices. They'll easily outperform the 280X Toxic, and you may find you never feel the need to XFire them!

the sapphire tri-x oc is a bargin at that price

i paid £360 from OCUK a few months back. Worth Every penny
