what graphics card to get

hi guys i was wondering what graphics card to get i was thinking of the nvidia-9800gtx's but my friend is saying the nvidia 8800gtx is better i'm confused is this true i've looked up and the net and seems it's true are nvidia ripping off customers like this LOL sorry for the kinda silly question guys :confused:

well the best is the 9800 GX2 worth it? not really unless you have money to burn.

Like acidhell2 said, 9800gx2 is the best of the best at the moment, but is it worth the extra cash? probably not. Anything from the 8800GT 512mb and up is pretty darn good

also if you could give us the specs of your pc . so like no point getting something like a 9800gx2 if your running a pentium 4 or something
