Very simple question whats best graphics card to game at 1920×1080

currently using a 8800gt will this cut it ?

only gaming at 1366x736 or whatever it is

looking to upgrade my tv tho so will be gaming at 1920x1080

so isit better to stick with the GT or upgrade to say a GTX or Ultra

If you want plenty of AA/AF/HDR then yeah I'd go for the GTX. Also they are so cheap.

You could get the GTS but I don't think it can cut high AA/AF at high resolutions like the GTX does.

after a look at specs, the GTS seems better than the GTX and Ultra, clock wise

True but i dont think it has the same memory bandwidth, Texture fillrate and pixel fillrate as the GTX or Ultra which make them faster

You asked what card is better for high resolution gaming Breamy1990?.

If you are wanting good AA and AF @ 1920x1080 then the GTX IS the better card for it although the GTS is no slouch. For 1920x1080 and higher with AA/AF used/forced then the GTX comes up the winner for me. I've used the GTX but not the GT or GTS but I think GTX owners and ex owners might agree that your resolution plus high AA/AF might be better suited to the GTX.

I'm not trying to say that if you bought the GTS that it won't play all your games. I just think the GTX has the better bandwidth, with a lesser hit on performance when using AA/AF at high resolutions.
