I've not been keeping up with new hardware latley.
I'm looking for a graphics card in high-mid-range segment.
My current machine is:
Leadtek 8800 GTS 640MB
AMD X2 6000 + Arctic freezer
EVGA nforce 590 SLI
4GB Corsair DDR 800
2 Samsung F1 1tb 32mb cache drive in raid 0
Liteon DVD RW
Creative XFI Gamer
Coolermaster HAF
Tagan 600Watt Dual Engine PSU
NEC MultiSync WGX2 20" (playing at 1680x1050 where possible)
Vista 64-bit Ultimate
Creative Fatality 1010 Mouse
Saitek Gamers Keyboard
I'm looking to get a performance boost in the following games:
Oblivion, COD4, Enemy Territory, Stalker, C+C 3.
Would I be better trying to get another 8800 for SLI for about £80ish or would I get better results with a newer single card?
My budget for this is about £200-250
I've heard the new Nvidia cards incoroprate on-board physics, would this technology be useable/beneficial in any of the games i mention?
