I am trying to run Sleeping Dogs on my sig rig. It's running well at medium. However, I want to play it on extreme. At 1680X1050, it's still very stuttery at extreme settings.

I'm sure my CPU is powerful enough, but is my card slightly underpowered? I will also soon be buying a 1920X1080 monitor.

Sleeping Dogs runs like a dog on most cards at max settings anyway, i wouldn't buy one based on that game alone tbh.

2500k + OC'd 7950 will run it on extreme @1080p.
The question is, are you wanting to do it for the satisfaction of knowing it's maxed out or because you think it's a very noticeable difference compared to high settings?

Some may feel differently, but I never saw more than a tiny difference between high/extreme and the extra heat and fps penalty wasn't worth it.

You're right, the difference is barely visible, but I'm still struggling on high.

I would prefer something from the green camp.
