what graphics card

I own a gtx 260.

Currently borrowing a friends gtx 460 to play call of duty ghosts and BF4.

Running an AMD Phenom 1055T 2.6 processor

Do I stay on the GTX range or are there better for the price out there?

Looking around the 200 and obviously 200 on the second hand market would get me a little more

serious note, your system might bottleneck with one of the newer cards. Can you post your full system specs? core clocks ? ram amount? what resolution you game at?

OP I'd look into upgrading the CPU/MOBO first. When i went from my Core2duo @3.6ghz to the current spec I have now with a GTS 450 suddenly things where playable and my FPS was amazing. The CPU was holding me back the entire time.

Now I'm not saying your CPU will bottleneck a new GPU but I'd bet money that it would hinder it at least.

I recon the Phenom II X6 will be fine with a better GPU.

Have you tried overclocking it OP?

Should get to at least 3.2GHz if you have half decent cooling, a lot of them will get to at least 3.5GHz.

A hex core Phenom II at 3.2GHz wouldn't hinder a 270X too much.

not tried overclocking the cpu as it is on a stock cooler at the moment but in the new year looking into a water cooling for it
