What guitar effect??

Hello all, bit of a random one this...

Ive just watched Wrestlemania 17 (absolute classic) and ive been trying to develop the guitar effect the Wes uses for the intro to Limp Bizkits 'my way'


It's driving me crazy, i juts cant get the right sound! :eek:

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
 
haven't heard it for ages, but i'm pretty sure that it's a combination of delay and chorus. definitely delay in there, so that should start you off :)
 
It's a fairly long delay I think, which in my opinion is the best guitar effect, creates really good ambience and atmosphere. I must get a better delay effect - I was looking at the Echo Park pedal - i too would be interested as to which the more astute guitarists on here would recommend.
 
well ive been playing guitar for about 9 years, and ive only ever had one effects unit, the Zoom 707, and it's done me proud.

you have to learn to play properly before delay sounds good :p;)
