Got rid of my gaming PC and decided to go Mac, I'm not spending £60 on their "Magic" mouse.

There are no decent no-frills mice any more that have thumb buttons for back and forward, there are plenty without but it seems only the gaming mice get stocked anywhere thesedays.

I don't need DPI control or macro buttons so spending more on a gaming mouse seems silly.

What happened to just a plain old mouse.

I really don't wan to keep harping on about this as everyone have their own opinion, but it's all hype in my opinion. Go down to Tesco and grab yourself a £5-£10 mouse. It may not have <insert marketing buzzwords> but it'll do the same thing. And this is coming from a guy that must've spent over £800 the past 7 years on mice alone. Sold them all and now use a £5. Don't see or feel the difference.

I've been to Sainsburys and Asda the only two supermarkets I have in my town and none of them have 5 button mice, only regular 3 button.

Also since when was a plain old mouse a gaming peripheral?

If I wanted a gaming mouse I would have posted in here............
