What happened to DFI?

They used to knock out some cracking motherboards!

A quick look at their site and it seems they are still in business but only supplying boards to industry.
 
IIRC one of their reps went berserk on their support forum, said a few things to a few people who probably deserved it but sadly DFI didn't see it like that.

That was the beginning of the end, they wound down their retail motherboard arm and stopped selling.
 
Their nForce2 Ultra400 board was superb, best socket A board money could buy. The nF3-250Gb was late to the party, but also decent. I never had an nF4 board but they were well recommended.

Sadly though I never got along with their Intel chipset boards - one of their X48 boards I owned ended up snapped in half when I got totally fed up with it refusing to play ball, then the miniITX P55 board was very finicky and tricky to overclock. I soon chucked that onto the MM and moved over to something else.

Shame really.
