What happened to global video?

That had TV adverts in the 90's and a website, where did they go? Pretty much no record on the internet at all aside a few pictures and that long gone website.

I remember renting SNES games from them I think.

Can definately remember Bill and Ben the flowerpot men on VHS.

They spent all their money rebranding to global dvd and then couldn't afford to bring in any new releases.

We had a global video in our town, has been empty for 4-5 years. Shop clearly closed but they still have the sign upside down through the window. And there used to be a guy that looked like Seth Rogan that worked there

Use to have a few independent rental shops which shut around early 00s, now we just have a Blockbusters, total rip off.

Was nothing better than being a kid and renting a VHS for 50p and watching it on Saturday and Sunday morning.
