Is it still around?

Can't remember what its called, it counts key presses and mouse clicks and generates stats or something.

The game Duke Nukem Forever springs to mind, but TKC 2.0 started eight years late. I'll leave you to ponder and figure it out. :)

Its a dc program where you compete on key presses and mouse clicks. Wondering what happened to it?

How the hell is knowing how many times someone wacks a key in anyway useful to anyone?

It's not - but seemingly lots of people wanted to do just that :D

TKC died a death - it was supposed to be replaced by TKC 2.0 which would have better security measures to stop people cheating but it's still a work in progress and the guy has likely got himself a proper endeavour now :o

I believe the reverse may be true. He got the boot from his day job and went to write games or something.

It's not officially dead - hence my Duke Nukem Forever reference.

Ah but if everything in life had a real purpose then wouldn't life be boring ;)

In fact the competetiveness of it all got far more vindictive than f@h has ever achieved. It was truly down to individual ability. Rather than who had the best computer, it was who had the strongest fingers! You could tell the biggest forum spammers :D

How I miss that silly rivalry.

It's all for fun. It's not Distributed Computing, it's just an amusing thing in which to participate.

I have 2 million points stashed on this machine for Project Dolphin. I'm going to deliver a mega-stomp to my closest rival next week. :D

So its all gone then?
I just figured i spend so much time pressing buttons i may aswell have something to show for it and it sounded like fun.

Whats project dolphin?

Dolphin is still going then? I might just have to join that. :)

I just left TKC running in the background on this machine (removed on the others due to reformatting). 9.1 million keys stashed.

You called it a DC project hence my questioning its usefulness. As it is in fact NOT a DC project, then meh whatever floats your boat :)

I know that. :p

How is that different from teams? Is it a mini team within a team?

My pulse thing says it can't connect to the server...
