So - poor picture on all sources with a tendancy to make nasty noises, bendy geometry, and, in a few cases, can go pop within a few weeks.
Eh? HD as a standard is any of 720p, 1080i or 1080p. You also have to remember that the only approved standards for 1080p are 24, 25 or 30 fps, 1080p50 and 1080p60 are not. 720p60 is though so you will probably find a lot of material released in different formats depending on what the content is, and that's where it's not so clear how good lower resolution material will look on a fixed resolution panel, I can't imagine SD broadcasts looking good upscaled on a 1080 panel.squiffy said:1080p will be the official HD spec, anything lower is "higher definiation than you have already, but not what HD-DVD will be natively!"
I had a 730p screen, sent it back now falling back to my 28" CRT until 1080p screens are released (and 1.3 HDMI as well)
