just 'attepted' my first overclock, nothin extreme just raised the 266 FSB to 333 (to get 3 GHz) according to this forum this clock should be easy to get.... NO :(

so, what went wrong
(The info below is just me expressing my fustration)

heres what happened
basically, pc switchs off after saving bios then switchs its self back on and just gets stuck at the first screen that says preess TAB for POST and DEL for bios but it wont let me choose either, ctrl+alt+del dosn't work either. so now its time to reset the cmos, this took me me much longer then it should have since i was using the wrong jumper for a while starting to panic because i thought i may have 'destroyed' my rig :eek: but i found the 'real' jumper later 'hidden' under the graphics card GRR 'bad mobo designing there' (had case 'upright' when doing this), making it very hard to insert the jumper pin. incase anyone is wondering, I did check the manual BUT it contains info for 2 different layouts for my board but the 'larger' part of it is for the other version of this board (so its showing me the wrong layout when it points out where things are), and thats my story. RAGE complete, back to happy :p

everything is back to stock now, put me off oc'ing for a while, not too bad since the Q6600 at stock is GREAT and handles everything i throw at it, i just wanted a little more 'BANG' for me 'BUCK' lol, and to run my CPU in sync with RAM.

There is a complete set of settings in the official J&W IP35-Pro thread, but to save you looking them up;

1. Make sure you are running BIOS version 1.3b
2. In advanced BIOS features set Full screen LOGO Show and Small LOgo (EPA) Show to [Disabled]. This isn't actually part of the overclock, but it does let you see what the actual overclock is when it boots up.
3. Under Frequency/Voltage Control set the following;
4. CPU Feature->Disable all the power saving features
5. Set the CPU voltage to something sensible eg. 1.3V
6. Set the CPU clock mode to Manual
7. Dial in your 333MHz
8. Set the RAM divider to something sensible that matches your RAM eg. 1:1
9. Set the PCIe clock to fixed (110 is good for your graphics speeds) and reboot the PC.

I'm doing this from memory, so I might have forgotten something, but for 333MHz, that should do you.

If you turn off the J&W splash screen then you can see the BIOS version in the top corner of the screen.
