What happens after 12 months

I've been really busy over the last few months and havent been able to contact Orange regarding this.

Basically I bought my phone along with its 12 month contract last March. I know this qualifies me for an upgrade but I think I can get a better deal elsewhere so is my contract now on a monthly basis? IE I can phone them up and give them 1 month notice of cancellation?

when you go to cancel they will ask you why, tell them you have seen a better deal elsewhere, tell them to put you through to the retentions department they have the most power, when you get there tell them about your new deal and they will match it or beat it

or more lightly unless your a big spender they will say ok thanks for your custom bye bye

Not in my experiance, voda crapped on the offer O2 would do on a new 18mth contract, and even did it me on a 12mth one
