on t-mobile pay monthly 24 mths, will run out soon, thinking of buying a t-mobile payg htc wildfire, will my current contract just keep rolling on?

thanks

Most contracts switch to a 1 month rolling contract, and you have to call up and cancel it (or just leave it).

Yep...

Once a contract expires, you just carry on as normal but are no longer on contract. Therefore, paying what you pay monthly, getting what you usually get with it, with the freedom to hand in your 30 day notice at anytime to cancel.

However, as you are looking to get a new phone, you can "renew" your contract, meaning you take out a new contract and they will give you a phone for it.

ok, looking to get my own phone and stay on the rolling contract.

any good sim free or payg on t-mobile phones out there? £200 is about my limit, nearly bought a wildfire s.

I have a galaxy i5700 at the moment, would the screen be as good on the wildfire ?

I believe the Carphone Warehouse are selling the Nexus S for £199 and AMOLED models are available, you may want to look into that.

If you're buying your own phone then you would probably get a better deal on the monthly contract by switching that to something like Simplicity too.

I assume you previously bought a 24 month contract with the phone provided free of charge or at a reduced up-front cost. Therefore your monthly fee includes an amount to pay for the phone. So if you simply buy a new phone and keep your old rolling contract then you are still paying an additional amount on top each month.

You may be able to phone up and get yourself on a lower tariff though (check it's not a contract renewal).

yes, I'm on a darned cheap tariff anyway tbh,

It would be pretty surprising to hear that a contract that came with a subsidised phone is cheaper than something like Simplicity. What are the details of your current contract?
