Hi all

Just wondered if you could help me, my quiery is basically what the title says, what hardware do I need to buy to water cool my GPU

iv got an Asus R9 290
iv never water cooled a GPU before and I cannot find any info online, iv only seen about a water block but what else do I need

thank you all

I suggest you keep checking out guides until you don't find it confusing anymore. Buying the parts we list may still leave you scratching your head if you don't know what they are for and why they were chosen over other parts.

What specifically do you find confusing?

is their any videos or help online about how to put one of these together,

iv seen a video of how to add a waterblock to my r9 290 but I don't know anything about connecting anything else.

also I think as I already have a radiator installed from my h80i I don't have anywhere to put another one in my case ( zalman z9 plus)

i just find all the different things i need confusing to be honest,

i know how to install a water block onto my r9 290 as their are videos on youtube, but they rest of the setup i cannot find anything

Do you know anyone locally who has done it/ attempted it. That way he/ she can guide you though it.

this might help also, i watched the first few minutes and it seems to cover quite a few of the basics.

thank you that video made it much more simplier to understand

so I know I need to buy:

radiator
reservoir
pump
tubing
fans
water block

one problem I have with my case is, I don't have any room inside for another radiator as I already have one on my h80i, so if I bought another one I don't know where I could place it and I don't want it on the back. anybody any ideas

also are reservoir/pump combos just as good as separate units as id prefer to use a combo to save space

thank you

yup, I have read around on these forums and know its possible. Not sure how it performs compared to 2 radiators.

another option would be to get a bigger case and fit a 2nd rad in there.
