Hi, i'm thinking of getting a new PC making the jump from AGP to PCI-E... But when built my current system (amd 2500 ith ati 9800) i lost interest in PCs and so now have no idea whats going on. When i left AMD 64 had just come out i think and was the favourite among all of ocuk PCI-E was a few months away and there was talk of a new format different to ATX, did this new format get dropped?

Aside from that i would also like to see what the best bang for the buck is, i don't need top of the range as i can't afford it but i need a PC that can run current and future games for the next year or 2 like my current PC has done. Looking to spend about £350-£450 but keep it closer to £350 :p to replace my AGP set up (i'm guessing that will be CPU, MOBO + Video card) will i also need a new PSU? currently i have a 380w and has RAM changed atall?

Well, AMD took the crown from Intel & now Intel's about to take it back big-time... Intel Core 2 Duo A.K.A. Conroe will be the new king :D Should be in shops end of July, but already available on Pre-order at OcUK shop :)

Only for enthusiast's, 965 is mainstream and while that spec is pretty good, it's not worth putting in a 975X mobo in my opinion.

Agreed the motherboard isnt going to affect performance anyway so theres no point in spending loads on one.
