What has happened...To Pc Gaming.

Just wondering if anyone else has has been in the same situation/felt the same...

I've been a PC gamer for a solid 6 years now,But what the hell has happened to pc games these days?

I feel that it has gone downhill bigtime,Games been released so buggy they are unplayable...and the ones that are do not live up to their hype (Dead island).

They are all getting the same,Especially FPS..I tried out the BF3 Alpha and it did not impress me at all just the same old stuff running around with a gun which..Yes i know thats what you do in a FPS but im betting give it a few months that will also be boring.

Then you got the whole DRM copy protection that just causes annoyance to the legit user most of the time,Then you got added on stuff like Windows live which limits the amount of times you can activate your own game and if you active it too many times your stuffed for online (GTA IV is a good example.)

Then on top of that...most pc games today you cannot resell because their keys get tied on services such as Steam etc....then we cant even sell our steam accounts.

I thought about packing up pc gaming,Selling my gaming system and buying a new new TV...and getting a PS3....no hastle and i can still et my gaming fix.

I know it sounds like im a moaning old git

,But maybe we could have a debate on this issue....where will it ever end?

People are entitled to their opinion, you pointed out certain games that have let YOU down. Nothing has happened to PC gaming just because things didn't live up to YOUR standards. I don't want to seem closed minded, but there is nothing to debate, PC gaming is on the up and the only thing that has changed is technological advances, maybe its you that has changed.

But i think you are probably right,Maybe it is me thats changed....i was speaking to my friend last night and he said maybe just sell your pc...take a very long break and then when you feel like you want to return then you can buy newer up todate parts and pc game again.
Not sure.

I know BF3 isnt that far away now,I already have pre-order and paid for it a long time ago...so i could see what thats like and how it keeps my attention,But if i do loose intrest i think that will be it for me for quite a while.
