Hi, im looking for a decent gaming build that i would like to last me a while before needing to upgrade certain components. From reading around ive heard haswell builds are the way to go at the moment. I will be looking to play games alike BF4 at top settings.

Im not looking to build myself and have a budget of 1500 for the system plus a monitor.

Any info is gladly accepted as this will be my first proper gaming machine.

Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat and I think I'm going for this build:

>EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclock ACX 2048MB GDDR5
>Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor
>Asus Z87-PRO Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX
>Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz
>Asus VE228HR 22" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black
>Samsung 128GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s
>Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD
>Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze'
>Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler
>Corsair Carbide 200R Compact ATX Case - Black
>OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)

but this is with the monitor included, without the monitor I would probably get a better ssd, a better gpu or power supply.

I'm not op and I don't mind building it, its my first one and I'd rather do it myself just because, I'm going to be doing some modelling and game dev stuff so don't want to cheap out on ram and cpu, for now I'm only using one monitor so I think that gpu is fine for now, I might need more but then i'll just upgrade latter, might get that monitor because of the response time.

I don't want an amd gpu because of stuff like advanced physx.
