ok, a mate of mine went gliding a couple of weeks ago. i got an email of said mate today, asking if i wanted to go on the 31st ( £40 for an evening "glide" )

i am scared of heights, and have never been in a plane.

so whats it like?

I wouldn't mind doing it at all.

i was thinking of gliding with some buddies down south that week but the met-office has a warning for very high wind speeds in the Basingstoke, Winchester area. They will still let you just means its a lot more dangerous!

Why not casually ask your mate what its like, say your just wondering (not that your crapping yourself) and see what he says about how he found it.

have done this. and didnt need to be casual about it

he said it was stunning, but then he isnt scared of heights, and fly's in planes quite a lot ( long haul to hong kong at least once a year )

Unlike you, I cant wait to get up there, being able to fly around but not have any noise at all will be quite a surreal experience let us know how you get on

oh dont get me wrong. i love the idea of going up, but to say i am brinking it is an understatement.

but someone from work said if you can manage rollercoasters etc, that i'll be fine.

When your up there dont start thinking "omg im high up im high up"....just stare at the horizan and you will be like ! Have fun!
