3 weeks ago, the pricing was

5850 £200
5870 £300

Now.....

5850 £240
5870 £340

Eh arnt things suppose to go down, not up:eek:

No this is all about tsmc who couldn't organise a pee up in a brewery with a step by step guide roll on global foundries and some competition and hopefully an end to tsmc screwing us all.

The prices will drop soon!
especially if we the consumers dont pay this increase.

Thing is, demand is higher than the amount they can sell anyway. They might as well raise the price as they still sell every card they can make. Rool on GlobalFoundries.

I don't think the yields are down to this price hike, I think it is simply supply and demand. Retailers are upping the price way more than ATI have

Everyone in the pipeline is looking to their margins - less cards coming through = bigger cut added on to what does.

It has everything to do with the yields - that's what has caused the poor supply which hence, can't keep up with the demand.

Sent mine back nearly 2 weeks ago and not got my replacement yet. :(

Could be next year at this rate :(

Which is why i don't understand why these guys are still taking pre-orders, as they can't fulfill them, must have thousands by now, and are still taking them with only getting about 1 or 2 cards in a week to fill em lol.

I dont understand why everyone wants these ATi cards which are being over priced now. Why not buy a GTX 295 from somewhere else for like £300 brand new?
