What have you broken?

I ruptured my ACL and minisci in my left knee back in 2002.

Now I have patella tracking issues in my right knee which I cauased through the rehab of the left. :(

Im currently doing rehab for both, but if it doesnt solve my right knee issue, surgery will be neccessary.

Collarbone- football
Collarbone again - twatting around on Christmas day :(
Three ribs - Playfight with my brother which got out of hand

When in primary school I had a double compound fracture of my radius and ulna in my left forearm.

Was playing touch rugby and someone was chasing me and clipped my heel, I fell and put my arm out to stop myself and i fell awkardly with my arm caught underneath me and managed a clean break. Thing I remember most was not the pain but the shock and then running to the teacher on duty and showing them it :o

In order of seriousness

Finger - rolling in a sleep bag to avoid something
Collarbone - Gymnastics accident
Hairline Fracture of neck - Hit by car at low speed riding bicycle
Jaw 5 places, Cheeck 5 places, 2 skull fractures - After attack by 2 guys with brass knucks. 1 of the jaw fractures got infected (damn near killed me) and they had to remove 1 cm of dead bone. 2 Surgeries and around 6 months before restraints where removed.

Do they bother me, other than the collarbone no, though the attck and subsequent recovery left me pretty seriously depressed for a while.

sprained my left ankle when I was 14 and now I have overpronation on said ankle when I run.

No biggy though really.

Broke my collarbone as a young kid, I was on a high stool, putting my drink on the side, my sister thought it'd be fun to keep moving it further away, eventually I reached out to get it and lost my balance and fell off the chair.

Broke my left wrist.
Broke my big toe.
Broke my left wrist again.

Car drove into me on a motorbike, broke my femur (butterfly fracture I believe, basically broke it into 3 small-ish chunks), still got the pin in, this is the only one I feel now but it's not pain exactly, just an aching occasionally.

And then for good measure and to keep it even I went and broke my left wrist again :)

I am 36 and when i was 11 i was run over by a car and my right foot went under the back wheel and was totally smashed. The surgeon was fantastic as my skin had not broken but had swollen, looked like i had a balloon with toes sticking out the end. If they cut my foot open they would not be able to sow it up again so he had to manipulate all the bits of bone back into place by just pressing them to move them and keep taking x-rays. I was in plaster for 6 months from my toes up to my hip and then toes to knee for another 4 months. My right foot has not grown since so i have two different sized feet (right = 5, left = 8) i have arthritis (fine in summer but bad in winter) in my right ankle and only have limited movement. I had to go for an operation about ten years ago as i was walking on the outside of my foot too much so i had a wedge shape piece of bone taken out of my heel to correct the angle and a screw put in the bone to fix the heel back together.

Apart from that i am fine. :D

Never broken anything. I've done many painful hard falls from many things and I still haven't broken anything, must have very strong bones or the impact is dispersed really well or something.

Teared my right thigh muscle by pushing my self too hard in a 100m sprint though and teared it again 2 months later by jumping for a high branch and the force by grabbing it put enough strain on the healed tear to tear again. Was not amused D:

On my 11th birthday, broke my arm just behind the wrist when skateboarding - Ulna was a greenstick fracture, but the radius was a clean brake with the two halves of the bone clearly offset under the skin. The plaster cast was initially up to my elbow, but when I rotated my hand I could feel the bones of my broken radius grating together, so the cast was extended half way up my humerus. Stayed in plaster for 8 or 9 weeks iirc. God, it itched like hell.
To this day, even though I'm right handed, most of the muscles in my right arm are smaller than those in my left. My wrist cracks if I articulate it too far and it sometimes aches a little when it's very cold.

Not had the misfortune to break anything but had very heavy bruising from being run over twice on my mountain bike.

Also had 17 stitches just above my right eye due to landing face first jumping off a 5/6ft wall, again on my bike.

Don't want to repeat any of these in a hurry.

Although not technically mine as well I did once break someones arm in 2 places while in a Judo fight at school. Didn't mean it just one of those things.

Nose - sense of smell is not what it was, and can only breathe properly through one nostril at a time, switches occasionally for some reason :/
Fractured Wrist - Hurts slightly when weight lifting occasionally.

Wrist
Nose
Left Elbow
Right Elbow
Rib
Lower Left Leg (can't remember where exactly)
Thumb
L5 vertebrae
Collarbone
Dislocated thumb and elbow.......

......and I'm only 17 :p

2005 - Left Radius, at the wrist, caused by Mountain Biking.

It was put back together with a Titanium Plate, I was told it can stay in for life, as it's not worth the surgery to remove it. Never really given me any issues, but if I really put all my weight on it, it can ache a little.

2007 - Left Humerus, at the shoulder, caused by Snowboarding.

Not possible to cast a shoulder so had to keep it still for 6 weeks. I ended up with a frozen shoulder and had to have some agonising physio to get it going again. At the time of my final check up they thought it was ok, but overtime I've found I get a lot of clicking & sometimes jolting movement. It's likely I have some rotator cuff damage, but it doesn't really effect me day to day, so I haven't or it checked out. I realise I probably should as no doubt it could get worse as I get older.
