What have you overclocked, other than a PC?
Id have loved an overclocked Amiga back in the day if higher frame rates were a possibility!
Or a modded Stunt Race FX Nintendo cartridge with a FPS boost!

I er... underclocked the toilet to use less water with each flush :D
Not technical enough to OCanything electrical

Or.... what was your most impressive PC overclock?

I overclocked my Acorn Atom from 1MHz to 2MHz.
And my 2000 diesel focus with a Van Aaken module. It gave 25 extra horses, 40 extra torques and a huge cloud of black smoke when I booted it.

Nice. Mind saying what car? :)

My first car, a 1987 D-reg 1.2L Vauxhall Nova :D

When I needed to have the car converted from 4* to unleaded, I watched the mechanic twist the distributor cap slightly.

This got me inquisitive, so I marked the new setting before trying different settings. In the end, I found a setting that would do over 70mph in 2nd gear, would do 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds whilst being mega fuel efficient.

The only downside was the the timing was out to start the car, the electricity would flow from the distributor back to the coil (I think) and it sounded like the battery was flat whilst trying to start.

Thats really interesting.

Cars, Twin Webber's baby
My KTM RC8 was a downgrade for top speed but it pulled like a train to 161mph :)

I had a 1.2L Nova 4speed...managed to write it off on a slip road...replaced it with another 1.2L Nova 5 speed...it didn't feel as fast so spent ages messing about with things, no joy...engine was still fine in the old written off Nova so swapped the engine to the new one...still no better, after all that replaced the 5speed box with the 4speed from the old car and's that's what the difference was. No idea how much difference figures wise it made but it was noticeable at the time!

car.. Had a Honda Jazz as my first car and after a year or so of ownership, dropped an K20A engine (Honda Civic Type R - EP3 model) into it along with a Jackson Supercharger. VTEC yo!!!

Modded a cheap Corsair case to take a huge watercooler Rad. Didnt fancy buying another case so made it happen in a case never designed for it

This is OcUK, so obviously it's either a PC or a car :p

My PC is now de-overclocked as I realised it doesn't really make a huge difference since the boost clock is 4.2GHz anyway and I was OCing to 4.4.

My car remains "overclocked" though. ~360BHP/385Nm.

Same here. Stuff auto-overclocks nowadays and the margins are smaller and less important anyway. Gone are the days when a 50% increase in performance through manual overclocking was possible and transformative. On PCs, anyway. It's still possible on cars, sometimes. Or more, if you throw enough money at it and compromise other areas of driving.

Not necessarily a PC!

I have a modded BBC Micro that takes a USB flash drive (up to 2GB). The purpose of this is storing .dsd files on the flash drive which I can then load up onto the Beeb. It also has the original 5.25" floppy drive attached to it so that it can convert files from DFS to FAT32 and vice versa.

Two of my cars are over clocked and one modded to death.

My Dyson DC07 which is the ultimate dyson has been modded to take later model attachments.

I also modded and overclocked my daughter's ride on car by putting in beefier batteries and a larger motor.
