What HD video camera do you suggest

For someone who wants it for filming a christening and then outdoor events as well as indoor stuff,My brother has had his first child so he wants the camera for keep sake moments,He hasn't giving me a budget.

Gopro is the obvious choice, they range from under £100 to over £300.

I would not use a gopro for a christening ok for action stuff where your worried about damaging your cam ,the gopro is limiting no tilt out screen ,no zoom ,not good in low light
sound will be poor ,ok the black has 4k which is usefull but the lenses distort images so you will have to correct in post .although it can be done well if your name is phillip bloom

I would go for panasonic ,canon or sony hd cam where you will have all the features and image stabilization with better optics etc a dedicated hd cam will make life easier over a action cam

Thanks guys,Im sure he would most likely go for panasonic sony etc,Seems the Gopro ones are good but i dont think it will be for him.

Look for a used Panasonic X900 or X920. Decent sized sensor, external audio can be plugged in and decent image quality.
