I've just taken delivery of my shiny new XPS 1730 (thank you Dell warranty department ;))

I'm trying to decide what to do by way of upgrades and have come to the Hard Drive. It's got a pretty mediocre 120Gb job in there that I was thinking of replacing with:

1 x Samsung PB22-J 64GB
1 x Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500Gb

I don't need the storage space as I have external drives so would I be better off getting 2 of the new Samsung drives? (A bit pricy for my tastes, but that'd be some awesome performance!) Or should I go for 1xSamsung and the existing drive, or forget SSD altogether and just get the Seagate to run alongside my current drive?

It's used pretty much exclusively for gaming, so fast level loads would be nice (and I hate the loooooooong laptop install times!)

EDIt: Can anyone confirm that the 1730 can take 2 different drives? Or is it Raid or bust?

Still undecided, so perhaps some level headed type could save me from myself. Options are:

a) 2xSamsung PB22-J 64GB - 128Gb total: £300
b) 1xSamsung + 1xSeagate 7200.4 500gb - 564gb total: £253
c) 2xSeagate 7200.4 500gb - 1Tb total: £206
d) 1xSamsung + (current Seagate 160gb 7200.2) - 224Gb: £150
e) Save my cash and stick with what I've got: £0

So... Will option a) be good enough to justify the cost? More importantly, is it £100 quicker than option c) to justify the loss of nearly 900Gb?

Honestly I don't have £300 to blow on a pair of hdds - so a) would take some serious convincing, I am leaning towards d) and would love input from anyone who's tried something similar (I know the PB22 isn't out yet - but there ae drives out there with similar performance - was it a good step up in terms of boot time/load time/general snappiness?
