Is it a special edition or something? As there are loads of the 1.4 around, see them going through auction a lot of the time here, though the saloon is certainly more abundent

Yeah, always regretted selling mine. Didn't have the room to keep it though at the time.

I love them and always find my self having a good look at one when i see one. Will have another one day, with a proper engine though next time.

Mine started to fall to bits and couldn't be arsed to sorting it, nore had the time. Think i sold mine for £660 to some wannabe gangstas from Birmingham. Bet she is riddled we bullet holes and stinks of cannabis now

In unmolested original form there's nothing wrong with them at all but 90% of the things have been absolutely ruined by random 19 year olds sticking various bits of tat to them, a set of -50mm lowering springs on 20 year old shocks, oversized alloys and with stupid, stupid exhausts. The noise they make is nothing short of ridiculous and can be heard from miles away.

Oh and cheap buckets for added effect. They just seem to have been the ned car of choice for a few years (around here anyway), I used to meet what I assume was a 1.4 every single day on the way to work when I had my MR2 turbo, without fail the guy decided to hang off my bumper at 40mph in second gear. To this day I have no idea what he expected to happen if I did put the foot down, maybe he just wanted to see the car shift I have no idea but the noise of his stupid, stupid sounding little thing went straight through me.

Lol thats joys of having a performance car. Im always having sheds tailgating me when im out in the VXR.

Makes me laugh when they rev the engine as they are going past you or see you at juctions etc.

But i know what you mean with the Civics, they have always gone into the wrong hands. I love me a subtley modified SSB EK4's though. There is one round the corner from me and it looks lovely.

The 5 door 1.8 VTI has a bit of a following. 167HP thanks to VTEC YO! but quite docile and Ok on fuel when keeping off the happy pedal making the happy noise.
