Just found that my Noctua NH-U12F won't fit as the northbridge heatsink is too big! So what does fit that's worth having?

Just got my P35-DS4 and Thermalright Ultra delivered today, i'll be taking some pics later if you want to see how it fits.

I wanted the Noctua to, but as you said, it won't fit....

Thermalright apparently is a very good cooler anyway, only downside is having to purchase a fan for it if you don't have one already.

Thanks for the suggestions, chaps, and I'd appreciate those photos when they're done. I like the idea of choosing my own fan anyway. Funny thing is, the speed sensor line in the Noctua fan broke at some point in all the fiddling about so I put a Scythe 1200 on instead and I think it's working better....

I got the same motherboard last week and i put the Zalman CNPS9700-LED Aero Flower, very quiet and works a treat

:( Piccies will be done with a phone, the digi i normally use is with the owner who is away for a few days... :(

Just in the process of saving important docs etc then i'll be doing my new build...

Took me till 1am till get the system up and running, PC insides were dusty, so i had to clean it all..... Eclipse is great for stripping down.

Did have it up and running on the desk to test though while i cleaned parts. Boot first time!! .... either i'm lucky or just good... :D

The heatsink installation confused me for about 15 minutes, the Thermalright is a little confusing, but awesome none the less.

Only took a few piccies which i'll upload once i have drivers for my phone installed onto the PC again.

I will say this much though, this Core2 from what i've seen (which isnt much, literally windows and a few apps) does fly along quite nicely. Temps seem to hover around 28 - 33C while i'm installing things.... that's at 2.9 ... mild overclock as i've had very little time to spend on it. Bear in mind my ambient temp is quite high, have no way to measure but i sit in my room without a top on and i'm still sweating.

p.s. the CPU is a G0 stepping.... if anyone wanted to know...

Hey personally i wouldnt get the Tuniq tower with this board as theres messing about to do with raising its fan cause it will touch the DS4 heatsink.

I have the DS4 BTW and the Tuniq Tower.
