Well this is what i got so far.

Is that all good?
Only thing is... i need on choosing a gfx card.. don't know which one to get. I've been lookin at nvidia, and SLi. Should i get that ? and does the mobo above support it?

Also i get the stock cooler for the cpu, any better ones you can point me towards ?

and last point is a need a monitor! 22" would do nicely : )

My budget is around about 1500 quid, so still a bit to play with i guess ^^

Cheers :)

edit : sorry about the copy and paste :) sorted with a screen shot now. :)

The motherboard doesn't support SLi, it does support Crossfire but I wouldn't really recommend even that. Just buy a good single card, the 8800GT 512mb offers great value at the moment if you can find one in stock.

You won't get any cooler with that CPU since it is OEM, you should probably be looking at (in price order) the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro, the Scythe Ninja, Noctua NH-U12F and Tuniq Tower.

The Ram is rather overkill when you can get a decent 4gb PC6400 kit for less which will take most people more than far enough in the overclocking stakes.

You'll need a PSU, the Corsair HX series are worth a look here.

Finally I'm not a huge fan of Raptors on a price/performance basis, they are very quick but a decent 7200rpm drive offers much more space and isn't that much slower in ordinary use.

tbh u aint getting a lot for a grand there man, performance over looks imo

I bet he doesn't have a 64 bit OS.

Being a student is great, cos i get free software :)

And in reply to cupra:
My budget is 1500 ish so still a lot to play with (need to get a monitor too). I'm just thinking what upgrades would be worth the extra mile
