Thanks

EDIT: Mods; Apologies, supposed to be in CPU's. Please move.

Just had a go with that using my little i7 laptop. Achieved 13Gflops.

Wow, that's pretty crap in comparison. Laptop CPU's aren't quite in the same ballpark.

112 gflops with a 3770k and multithreading enabled,would be a lot higher with multithreading turned off,around 135gflops

This is what I get.

IBT 2.54 default installation:

I got 122Gflops on my 3570k at 4700mhz with 8GB 1600mhz 8-8-8-24-2T.

Funny though as i re ran the test with 16GB with page file disabled and got 131.7157 Gflops which i guess it due to using maximum test with full 16GB.

As soon as i get fast ram i reckon i can hit 140Gflops perhaps.I dont think IBT like hyperthreading much. Also you are only using standard settings you need to use maximum settings in order to use ALL your ram and get a better score.Reboot first to free up ram as sometimes it will throw an error about memory low as it can grab the whole thing and leave nothing for windows.

multithreading on

multithreading off

it depends on the stress level also, usually higher if a higher stress is used

Nice fellas. I had an itch that (kinda) needed scratching but considering its age (and price at the time) i'm not too disappointed. I've got the nice sabertooth board so think i'll wait until the EOL AM3+'s are out.. (or until i can resist the itch no longer..!) before i upgrade..

Assuming the SR's will be AM3+ of course but if not (hopefully) cheap 8350!

I'm only getting around 75GFlops on my 3770K any reason why it would be so much lower than yous above?

wazza300: What do you use your PC for? Why such a low clock speed?

dont use cached ram.
open task manager, have a look under the performance tab, note the 'free' ram amount.
enter just below this amount in the custom ram tab in IBT.
also turn off web browsers, antivirus, any open programs and u will get a higher score.
even run IBT for 10 mins, to free up some of the cached ram, then recech free ram amount, then rerun the test.

That's just the idle clocks,it switches to full speed if stressed, and I'm at 4.8ghz

My CPU is actually at 4.5, don't know why cpu-z says it's at 4.2. When i stopped IBT it went back to 4.5 on occasional times???
