Been looking around at the best price for a new 360 and was just browsing the Bay when i noticed this chap seeming to sell some sort of info on where to get consoles.

Smells of scam to me but the feedback suggests otherwise (unless he's somehow scamming that too). Anyone know what sort of info he's flogging thats keeping these punters happy to spend £12 on it?

Just curious, dont think i'd be willing to chuck in 12 squids to find out though! Anyone any experience of this?

Chip a quid each in and let's see what he's got

I fell for one of these when I was a stupid teenager back in 2000 or so...it turned out to be some useless list of retailers....so I just posted the list back on ebay and made a buck or 2 back.

that's the way to do it mate

Yeah, looking at http://www.easywebstore.co.uk/drop-shipping-guide i reckon it'd just be a list of those so you post 360's for sale on ebay yourself just above what your shipper charges and get them shipped direct, creaming off the difference for yourself.

See how it could work if you could be bothered with the hassle (which i cant). Thinking about it though, it would probably work well on eBay knowing the stupidly high prices i've sold all my tat for in the past! :p

He has put a LOT of effort into his advert. Normally these things tend to be a pdf file with a list of companies that:

-Sell stock from bankrupt companies
-Sell unclaimed goods on behalf of Police
-Auction houses.

Quite often a lot of the phone numbers addresses will be out of date.

Alternatively it will be a list of all the official suppliers for the big high street companies (you can find this yourself online) and I guess it will offer tips on how to set up a trade account with them to buy at wholesale prices (for which you need your own limited company and VAT registration I think).

Bottom line is the info won't be worth £12 although this is a very good advert compared to the others you see on the bay.

rp2000

what i do when i want 'info' like that is contact some of the buyers, some are willing to just foward the information outa generosity

Gawd, that auction is awful.... it's like sitting through an American infomercial on Sky. So many coloured fonts, so many different sized wording. It made me feel dizzy just reading it.
