There seems to be loads out there, so just wondering what the local OCUK users tend to use to convert avi’s into ipod video’s ?

I would prefer shareware but don’t mind purchasing something if it’s good and cheap enough

Cheers Jim

Well, after my initial enthusiasm I confess that the files converted to mpeg4 where incredibly out of sound sync. I'm now trying one called AVS video converter which isnt free .

ok thanks mate i will check that out too

I use xillsoft ipod video converter 3. and a program called video inspector to find out the frame rate of the original to stop the files from going out of sync.

I currently use Videora iPod Converter 0.91 (Note: this is a slightly older version than the current one) and also experienced audio sync problems but was able to fix them. Fixing the input framerate to 29.97 in the conversion profile worked for me and seemed to for a lot of other users with the old software, I can't confirm if this is still the case for the new version 2.10 though.
