What is <3 mean?

Most commonly seen in MMO games. Primary example being:- "OMG GirlIRL??? Hi2u!!1 <3<3<3"

Isn't this all called leet or (L337) speak or something?

As for the "!=" clearly a maths term which is used also used in programming, since programming itself is highly mathematically based.

That's just wrong.
:confused: You've lost me.

2.9* = 3. If it doesn't equal 3, at what point does the difference between the two numbers occur?

<ontopic> <3 is cool! </ontopic>

man. I only said 2.99 as i had to type more than 1 character in before it would let me post. Otherwise i would have simply said 2.

and 2.99 !=3 is an adaquate way of say does'nt equal.

and the difference occurs when the tax man trys to charge me £300 pounds instead of £299 as they are pretty close.

That's what I was thinking. Two people have done that in this thread. :(
Let's have a :tut: at the education system. I have to confess to not having a clue why someone would type like that. If they spoke like that, they'd be labelled an immigrant.

There is no point. Each has its own value that is not equal to the the value of the other. :confused:

I take it you haven't studied maths much past GCSE then? :p

Oh, and if people weren't so god damn lazy, then I believe this little chappy would cause less confusion/arguments;
