You don't need to work it out just google it.
Following BODMAS the answer should be -25 as BODMAS has to be done in that order. However many folks on here are doing BODMSA instead to end up with -15 although there is the claim that you don't have to stick to AS order you just have to go left to right with AS which would mean using either AS or SA

5-5x5+5 = ?
5-(5x5)+5 = MULTIPLY FIRST - BODMAS
5-(25+5) = ADDITION SECOND - BODMAS
5-30 = SUBTRACTION LAST - BODMAS
or
5-(5x5)+5 = MULTIPLY FIRST - BODMSA
(5-25)+5 = SUBTRACTION SECOND - BODMSA
-20 + 5 = ADDITION LAST - BODMSA
Giving -25 or -15 but there's a few ways of doing it which will give different answers so, in the end, the real answer is the lessons we learnt on our journey to find the answer!

BODMAS still requires you to go from left to right. SOHCAHTOA on the other hand all I remember was the way to remember it "Silly old Hitler couldn't advance his troops over Africa". Can you imagine that being taught in school now as a way to remember something.

It's not addition then subtraction, It's addition AND subtraction completing from left to right. The answer is -15.

Orders (i.e. Powers and Square Roots, etc.)
Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)
Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)
This is probably the biggest flaw in the BODMAS mnemonic - it doesn't actually mean you have to do DMAS in that order.
(DM and) AS have equal precedence and should be carried out in the order they appear.
This confuses a lot of people who only vaguely remember it from school.

It's a deliberately poorly constructed string of numbers and operators
This is the best answer. It's better to write clearly than to rely on everyone remembering an arbitrary order with an inaccurate mnemonic.
Or even simpler, don't be a halfwit.
