The reason I am looking for an alternative is because Apache is just way to slow in my experience. I was actually doing some reading and came across this article: https://www.1and1.com/digitalguide/server/configuration/nginx-basics-installation-and-set-up/. It turns out it's relatively easy to set up and it's very efficient. I think I will be seriously considering switching over.
