What is a good CPU cooler for a decent price?

I'm currently using an evo 212 CPU cooler and was wondering if I wanted to upgrade to keep my CPU cool, there are radiators etc..?

I don't think I would do liquid cooling as I find it too much work and I don't like the feeling of working with liquids as I'm afraid of leakage etc..

The only CPU coolers I have heard about are the H100i and the H105.
Are there betters ones?

Are they worth the £100 odd and how much of a temperature difference does it makes compared to using a cooler such as the evo 212?
Or is it generally for the sound factor as radiators are quieter?

I have a Evo 212 and it is a brilliant cooler for what I paid (£25), no point in upgrading for me because the best I will achieve is another 200mhz, what is the point on spending £80+ extra for that little performance? Might aswell upgrade to a i7 for me otherwise.

TL;DR: No point imo to upgrade for such a small difference for such a high price.

If you are looking for just performance + quietness a large air cooler will beat an AIO rad + pump in most cases. Stuff like the Noctua NH-D15, and the Phanteks offerings are brilliant air coolers
What case are you running?

Do you want liquid cooling or not?

I'm confused, on one hand you say you don't like them for fear of leaks but then mention H100i and H105 liquid coolers...

its odd that ocuk has been out of stock on nh-d15 for a few months now..I wonder why? Ive spoke to their customer services and they are not giving anything away...

better cooler is i think for lower noise...
better coolers do reduce temps but i dont think there is so much difference between reasonable models as to affect 24/7 overclock...
so imo..quietness is king...
that said by the time you get to 6 cores...you do need something that has enough cooling capacity...
