For the first time I saw one of those home projector’s in use when I was at a friends house, it was actually the kids who got one for Christmas which was a budget projector which only cost £35, yet strangely enough the picture quality wasn’t that bad at all. Now I’ve not seen any other home projector’s but from seeing that one, I’d consider spending £500-£700, for a projector that the general consensus of opinion is the best option.
What I did like about the £35 projector that I saw was that you could turn the lens to beam it’s picture anywhere; floor, wall or ceiling. It was small enough to carry around.
What I didn’t like when playing with it was the OS was painfully sluggish to navigate (to be expected for £35 I guess). It didn’t seem to be able to pair to an Echo speaker via Bluetooth. Only a few apps with no noticeable option to download apps like Plex.
Do some projectors allow for downloading apps or side loading apps, or do they allow for a device like a Firestick to be plugged in using the HDMI port and the USB port for power?
Can some projectors work well in the daytime showing a clear picture?
What would be a good projector to consider? Ideally I wouldn’t want a big device that doesn’t offer much in the way of portability and flexibility, so being unable to beam on both wall and ceiling by angling the lens & not small enough to put in a rucksack.
Should I be considering only 4K projectors, or is there something else that I need to always consider before buying?
Any recommendations for projectors if anyone uses them?
