What is a good motherboard for..

a nvidia 280 gtx. Yes i know its overpriced etc etc and i have been waiting for the ati 4870x2 but i just cant be bothered waiting more, want to order tomorrow (also the talk of micro stutter has put me off a bit)

Anyway back on topic, q9450 processor + one of these cards possibly a second if i need sli in the future..

price range.. Well i dont mind spending for a decent one, I dont want something flaky, was going to get the rampage formula for the 4870 so I guess anythin around that price..

It wont make too much of a difference as if i remember right it only slows down the second card

Can anyone confirm that? Or recommend another board that could run both cards at 16x?

Not sure i want to spend quite that much.. its a lot for a mobo..

If i remember right though dont you need an sli board to run sli...

he wouldnt have 2 running on the one you specced anyway

But it doesnt run the sli chipset which you said about in your other post, also if i remember right you only get the sli bridge's with the sli motherboard, unless this has changed with the 9 series and 2xx series
