Hello wonderfuls!

What in the is a collective noun? It sounds bonkers, like spacemen or Victorian drudgery. Let's correct that right off the bat: it's a count noun that denotes a group of individuals (e.g. assembly, family, crew). Pop some of these fellas* into your conversation today:
  • Collective noun for bees – Swarm.
  • Collective noun for fish – Shoal or School.
  • Collective noun for sheep – Herd.
  • Collective noun for ships – Fleet.
  • Collective noun for birds – Flock.
  • Collective noun for lions – Pride.
  • Collective noun for wolves – Pack.
  • Collective noun for ants – Colony.
Does anyone have a particular favourite? I favour 'a ship of rascals'**

* also, ladies, thank you.
** my new band name.
